Stop and Smell the Flowers in Tyler, America’s Rose Capital

Approximately twenty percent of all the roses grown in America are produced in and around Tyler, earning this city of 110,000 residents the nickname “Rose Capital of America!” In recognition of this, the city hosts an annual Texas Rose Festival every October, and is also home to the largest municipal rose garden in the entire country. There’s much more to Tyler than roses, of course. With Caldwell Zoo, a number of museums and other cultural attractions, nearby lakes, golf courses, and country clubs, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. Just a few miles away, Tyler State Park provides plenty of outdoor fun, with facilities for canoeing, paddle-boating, camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and many more activities. There’s plenty of shopping, dining, and other forms of entertainment in the city, too. In fact, the city of Tyler has just about everything, whether it’s cultural attractions, outdoor fun, or big, exciting annual festivals!  Families will want to look at Tyler four-bedroom homes for sale to give them the room they need to stretch out.
