Take a Step Back In Time in Gainesville Luxury Real Estate
In 1840, settlers were offered land in what would become Gaineville. It would be another ten years before the town was built on a 40-acre parcel and the post office was established. By the end of that decade, Gainesville had grown enough that the Butterfield Stagecoach began stopping in the town on its travels from Missouri to California and back. By the late 1800s, train service was added, making it even easier for people to travel to and from the area. Gainesville continued to expand. In the early 1900s, the population reached 7,000 residents. When Camp Howze opened a few decades later, the population doubled. As Gainesville expanded, Victorian homes and buildings were erected, some of Gainesville luxury real estate has historical roots. Gainesville is packed with classical homes that offer a view into period architecture.
